breaking through recovery
Alcoholics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, the Twelve Steps - no recovery program can accomplish in a lifetime what the message of the gospel can accomplish in ten minutes.
The world will do everything in its power to convince you that it just can't be true, that the gospel of Jesus Christ; of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone is not enough.
The world strives to twist and cloud the truth of Christ in order to convince you that you must work to know God, that a program or religion must be adhered to or else God is out of reach.
At what point do you draw a line in the sand and say, "I will believe in and follow Jesus Christ and my measure of truth will be His word, and I will not compromise or corrupt the truth of His word for anything in this world"?
When you reach that point and draw that line in the sand, and you truly believe in, adhere to, rely on, and follow Christ completely; then you will understand that for you recovery is a non-issue. You will joyfully see that what the world calls "recovery" is nothing more than a blessed by-product of your salvation through Jesus Christ. It's that clear!

They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits end [all their wisdom has come to nothing].
Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. - Psalm 107:27-28
